Big cats on the prowl
Kinectimals has a pretty good array of feline friends for you to choose from, but if the line-up is a little limited for your tastes you'll soon be able to increase it with a range of new toys available across the UK.
Branches of Toys 'R' Us, GAME and Smyths Toys will stock six new animals – White Tiger, African Lion, Asiatic Cheetah, Bornean Clouded Leopard and Iberian Lynx – with a recommend price of £9.99.
They're not just cuddly toys, though: when held up to Kinect, the plushes unlock the equivalent animal in Kinectimals. These toys are the only way to unlock certain breeds of cat, so if you want to see the full feline parade you'll need to pick up these cats.
If you're looking for an excuse to buy cuddly toys and roll around on the floor, read our Kinectimals review to find out more.
Find your inner Tiger, Lion and Cheetah as new limited collector’s edition ‘Kinectimals’ plush toys available now
LONDON – 21 February 2011 – Using the revolutionary, controller-free fun of Kinect for Xbox 360, ‘Kinectimals’ invites children, their parents and animal lovers of all ages to build lasting friendships with some of the world’s most exotic creatures. Just like real pets, your adopted Kinectimal will come running when they hear your voice, respond to commands like “jump,” “roll-over” and “play dead,” and purr with joy when you scratch them behind the ears.
To further the Kinectimals fun this year, a new range of interactive plush toys is now available. Incorporating Microsoft Tag (mtag) technology, the new plush toys can be scanned by the Kinect for Xbox 360 sensor to unlock magical new ‘Kinectimals’ game characters and content.
The new ‘Kinectimals’ White Tiger, African Lion, Asiatic Cheetah, Bornean Clouded Leopard and Iberian Lynx are now available at Toys “R” Us, GAME and Smyths Toys for ERP £9.99. Future ‘Kinectimals’ plush toy releases will continue to include some of the world’s most exotic animals, such as the Canadian Lynx and Saber-Toothed Cat. Additionally, limited collector’s editions of the ‘Kinectimals’ game (packaged with a seven-inch plush toy for £44.99 ERP), is also now available at select retailers.
