Find out more
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will make use of Kinect, though we're not sure on how — or even why — just yet. Halo franchise director Frank O'Connor is playing sensor controls down though, saying they're nothing to get "hyper-excited" about.
Speaking to OXM, O'Connor said there's currently no date for when we'll hear more about what the sensor brings to Halo's 10th anniversary resurrection, but had this to say:
I don't think it's going to be something that people need to be hyper-excited about. It'll be cool, but it's not something you'd put on the front of the box. I don't want to downplay it, but I think of it like this - I use voice on Netflix and it's awesome, and that's what this'll be. Something that enhances you overall experience.
Presumably the feature will be on the front of the box in the familiar purple form of the "Better with Kinect Sensor" stripe. Or perhaps not? We'll have to wait a little longer to find out.
