Sit down to play
Fed up of Kinect telling you to stand up to play? Tired from all that hateful exercise? Fable: The Journey is right up your alley, then.
Peter Molyneux recently told CVG that you'll be able to play the game in the most comfortable way for you.
Speaking of lessons learnt from the now-cancelled Project Milo, Molyneux once again beat the drum of how to make an immersive, emotional story, claiming that uncomfortable players aren't ready for story:
So there's a lot of technology in The Journey allowing you to slouch, cross your legs, sit on a sofa or play and jump and stand up. Then there's a huge amount of stuff on voice and voice empathy and voice recognition which we will not be showing in this demo.
Molyneux is still keen to stress that The Journey isn't on-rails, with gestures used for what sounds like branching paths:
You gesture which way you want to go, and you can modify that with body tracking. It's not on rails.
Are you buying into Molyneux's Kinect odyssey? Let us know.

I believe Peter. I love Fable - Fable 3, with Fable 2 being my all time favorite. If he delivers an experience that works, I'm a happy Fable Fan. If they work out some Kinect stuff and some controller stuff- I'll REALLY be happy. But I do hope they get back to another core Fable game and I hope we get to see Fable 4 next year at E3!
