Relax, friends; Avatar Kinect isn't dead, it's just hibernating until next month when it'll form part of the newly-released Kinect Fun Labs.
Joystiq reports the Avatar-powered chatroom will release in July. Fun Labs is free to everyone but you must be an Xbox Live Gold member to use Avatar Kinect, though Microsoft may look to introduce a limited trial of the software to let everyone give it a go.
