Games get the nod
The prestigious Develop awards ceremony is just a few months away now, and Kinect is up for a host of gongs in all manner of categories.
The awards are a big deal in the games industry and reward the best games and innovations of the past 12 months. Rare's Kinect Sports and Frontier Developments' Kinectimals are both nominated for Best New IP, with Rare's sporting effort also up for the Audio Accomplishment prize.
Kinect itself is nominated in the Technical Innovation category where it goes head-to-head with Sony's PlayStation Move. Which will emerge victorious? We'll find out after 20th July.
