Nordstrom gets funky
This isn't the first time we've seen Kinect used for interesting things other than gaming — check out some of the previous Kinect hacks — but it is the first time we recall the sensor being used to advertise products in a shop window.
Fashion chain Nordstrom recently planted a sensor in the window of its downtown Seattle store, encouraging passers-by to step up to the window to write messages using just their hands. It's an interesting application to use on such a large scale, and another example of how Kinect's future lies in areas other than gaming.
