Happybox
It's quite impressive
Kinect's been used for all kinds of clever projects before, and here's another one: Little Green Dog's Happy Box.
The animated movie below was created using two synchronised Kinect sensors to "digitally puppet" the characters, if puppet is indeed a verb. It's actually quite impressive — not to mention cute — and certainly hints at the future of animation with affordable, fast motion capture: Little Green Dog recorded the motion in around an hour, with post-production taking the couple just a few weeks.
Little Green Dog is currently using its Kinect-based motion capture system for two larger scale productions due for release in 2012.

Think I've just figured out how to make KINECTaku bigger than Nintendo Life.
